Jana Konstantinova

Architect and researcher with studies in architecture and spatial planning, Switzerland

Jana Konstantinova is a Swiss-based architect and researcher with studies in architecture and spatial planning.

After her graduation in Architecture at the Faculty of Skopje, she obtained her Ph.D. at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne.

Her doctoral thesis focuses on a methodological overview of the significance and evolution of the (Post) Yugoslav cities.

In this context, the thesis grasped original strategies, innovation and vocabulary which emerged from employing creativity beyond the one side of profit-oriented thinking.

She took involvement in several international exhibitions and venues such as Venice Architectural Biennale (IT), Macedonian Architectural Biennale (MK), Thessaloniki International Biennale (GR) and Lisbon International Triennale (PO).

Her essays are published in revue Tracés (Lausanne), Arhi.tek (Skopje), and Domus.

Jana’s work has been shared with the audience internationally, for instance as Keynote at the Creative Forum Ljubljana, or on presentations and lectures in schools such as Angewandte Vienna and EPF in Lausanne.
