Edisa (rođ. Avdihodžić) Papraćanin diplomirala je 2007. godine, magistrirala 2011. godine i doktorirala 2016. godine na Tehnološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Tuzli, čime je stekla zvanje doktora tehničkih nauka iz oblasti procesnog inženjerstva. Profesionalnu karijeru gradi na Tehnološkom fakultetu Univerziteta u Tuzli, gdje je prošla sva akademska zvanja – od asistenta i višeg asistenta do docenta, a danas obavlja funkciju vanrednog profesora iz oblasti hemijskog inženjerstva. Učestvuje u izvođenju nastave na svim ciklusima studija, povezujući teorijska znanja sa savremenim izazovima industrije i održivog razvoja, uz poseban fokus na interdisciplinarni pristup koji povezuje hemijsko inženjerstvo, prehrambenu tehnologiju i inženjerstvo zaštite okoline. Njeno naučno-istraživačko djelovanje usmjereno je na procesno i hemijsko inženjerstvo, energetsku efikasnost, upravljanje otpadom, recikliranje materijala i primjenu savremenih tehnologija. Pored naučnog rada, aktivno učestvuje u organizaciji stručnih radionica, edukacija i javnih predavanja s ciljem popularizacije nauke među mladima, posebno mladim ženama i studentima koji žele razvijati karijeru u STEM oblastima. Autorica je i koautorica brojnih naučnih i stručnih radova, knjiga i poglavlja objavljenih u relevantnim domaćim i međunarodnim publikacijama, a aktivno je angažovana i u radu akademskih i stručnih tijela Univerziteta u Tuzli te kao recenzentica u domaćim i međunarodnim naučnim časopisima.

Edisa (born Avdihodžić) Papraćanin graduated in 2007, earned her master’s degree in 2011, and completed her PhD in 2016 at the Faculty of Technology, University of Tuzla, obtaining the title of Doctor of Technical Sciences in the field of process engineering. She has built her professional career at the Faculty of Technology of the University of Tuzla, where she progressed through all academic positions — from teaching assistant and senior assistant to assistant professor — and today serves as an Associate Professor in the field of chemical engineering. She teaches across all study cycles, connecting theoretical knowledge with contemporary industrial and sustainable development challenges, with a special focus on an interdisciplinary approach that links chemical engineering, food technology, and environmental protection engineering. Her scientific and research work focuses on process and chemical engineering, energy efficiency, waste management, material recycling, and the application of modern technologies. Alongside her scientific work, she actively participates in organizing professional workshops, educational programs, and public lectures aimed at promoting science among young people, especially young women and students interested in building careers in STEM fields. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific and professional papers, books, and book chapters published in relevant national and international publications, and she is also actively engaged in academic and professional bodies at the University of Tuzla, as well as serving as a reviewer for national and international scientific journals.
