Ines Kavalec je prosvjetna radnica, savjetnica u psihoterapiji kroz mentorstvo i dugogodišnja aktivistica za ljudska prava, s posebnim fokusom na podršku porodicama djece i osoba s teškoćama u razvoju. Kroz lično i profesionalno iskustvo razvila je snažan angažman u oblasti socijalne inkluzije, posvećujući svoj rad osnaživanju porodica koje se suočavaju s izazovima svakodnevnog života. Kao direktorica udruženja “Dajte nam šansu”, vodi inicijative koje su prepoznate kao jedinstven model podrške u Bosni i Hercegovini, jer se fokusiraju na cijelu porodicu, a ne samo na dijete ili osobu s poteškoćama. Pod njenim vodstvom, 2014. godine uspostavljen je prvi Servis centar kao inovativan model podrške porodicama, uz podršku USAID. Danas ova mreža obuhvata sedam servis centara širom Bosne i Hercegovine, koji pružaju niz besplatnih socijalnih usluga s ciljem jačanja roditelja, staratelja i porodične stabilnosti kao temelja inkluzije. Za svoj rad i doprinos društvu prepoznata je i međunarodno — Ambasada Sjedinjenih Američkih Država u Bosni i Hercegovini proglasila ju je jednom od heroja Bosne i Hercegovine. Njen profesionalni i lični put obilježen je izuzetnom snagom, empatijom i posvećenošću zajednici, zbog čega je prepoznata kao glas podrške i promjena za porodice koje često ostaju na marginama društva.

Ines Kavalec is an educator, a mentor in psychotherapy counseling, and a long-standing human rights activist, with a strong focus on supporting families of children and individuals with developmental disabilities. Through both her personal and professional journey, she has developed a deep commitment to social inclusion, dedicating her work to empowering families facing everyday challenges. As the director of the “Dajte nam šansu” association, she leads initiatives recognized as a unique support model in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as they focus on the entire family rather than only the child or individual with disabilities. Under her leadership, in 2014, the first Service Center was established as an innovative support model for families, with the support of USAID. Today, this network includes seven service centers across Bosnia and Herzegovina, providing a wide range of free social services aimed at strengthening parents, caregivers, and overall family stability as the foundation of inclusion. Her work and impact have also been internationally recognized — the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina named her one of the heroes of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Her professional and personal path is defined by resilience, empathy, and dedication to the community, making her a powerful advocate for families who are often overlooked and underserved.
