Prof. dr. Aida Abadžić Hodžić, redovna je profesorica na Katedri za historiju umjetnosti – Filozofskog fakulteta Univerziteta u Sarajevu. Autorica je dvanaest knjiga i velikog broja naučnih i stručnih radova. Posebno priznanje u naučno-istraživačkom i publicističkom radu prof. dr. Aide Abadžić Hodžić predstavlja knjiga Selman Selmanagić i Bauhaus (2014) koja je prevedena i na njemački jezik i predstavljena u Bauhaus arhivu u Berlinu, u okviru Evropske godine kulturnog naslijeđa (ECHY) 2018. godine. Autorski je pripremila više od pedeset izložaba moderne i savremene bosanskohercegovačke umjetnosti u zemlji i inozemstvu, među kojima se ističu retrospektive Omera Mujadžića u Umjetničkom paviljonu u Zagrebu (2003); izložba Bosanskohercegovačka mapa 20. stoljeća: 100 godina grafike u Bosni i Hercegovini (Sarajevo, 2004); Safeta Zeca u Palais UNESCO u Parisu (2004) i Memorijalnom centru u Potočarima (2020); Mersada Berbera u Pera Museum u Istanbulu (2017) i Vijećnici u Sarajevu (2017) i velika izložba mladih umjetnika sarajevske Akademije likovnih umjetnosti u Pera muzeju u Istanbulu (2015) koja je bila prva međunarodna izložba svih odsjeka u historiji ove visokoškolske institucije. Od 2020. godine, autorica je idejnog koncepta, glavni kustos i voditelj istraživačkog tima međunarodnog naučno-istraživačkog, edukativnog i izložbenog projekta „Pod nebom vedre vjere: Islam i Evropa u iskustvu Bosne“ (www.iskustvobosne.ba) koji je po prvi puta interdisciplinarno i mulitmedijalno predstavio višestoljetnu historiju, doprinose i savremenost kulture islama u BiH, u suradnji sa relevantnim domaćim i međunarodnim muzejima, galerijama, arhivima, institutima i bibliotekama. Izložba je do sada predstavljena u Sarajevu (2023), Zagrebu (2024) i Palači Vijeća Evrope u Strasbourgu (2025). Članica je stručnog tima za koncept i prvi postav Muzeja islamske kulture i umjetnosti Sarajevo. Prof. Dr. Aida Abadžić Hodžić članica je brojnih strukovnih međunarodnih organizacija i foruma i za svoj dosadašnji autorski rad iz oblasti historije umjetnosti dobitnica je niza značajnih priznanja, između ostalih i nagrade Univerziteta u Sarajevu za višegodišnji doprinos u oblasti nacionalnih humanističkih disciplina.
Aida Abadžić Hodžić is a full professor at the Department of Art History at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Sarajevo. She is the author of twelve books and numerous academic and professional papers. A particularly significant achievement in her scientific and publishing work is the book Selman Selmanagić and the Bauhaus (2014), which was translated into German and presented at the Bauhaus Archive in Berlin as part of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage (ECHY). She has curated more than fifty exhibitions of modern and contemporary Bosnian and Herzegovinian art in Bosnia and abroad. Among the most notable are the retrospective of Omer Mujadžić at the Art Pavilion in Zagreb (2003); the exhibition Bosnian and Herzegovinian Printmaking of the 20th Century: 100 Years of Graphic Art in Bosnia and Herzegovina (Sarajevo, 2004); exhibitions of Safet Zec at the Palais UNESCO in Paris (2004) and the Memorial Center in Potočari (2020); exhibitions of Mersad Berber at the Pera Museum in Istanbul (2017) and Sarajevo City Hall (2017); and the major exhibition of young artists from the Sarajevo Academy of Fine Arts at the Pera Museum in Istanbul (2015), which marked the first international exhibition of all departments in the history of the institution.
Since 2020, she has been the author of the conceptual framework, chief curator, and head of the research team behind the international scientific, educational, and exhibition project Under the Open Sky of Faith: Islam and Europe in the Bosnian Experience (www.iskustvobosne.ba). The project was the first to present, through an interdisciplinary and multimedia approach, the centuries-long history, contributions, and contemporary presence of Islamic culture in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with leading domestic and international museums, galleries, archives, institutes, and libraries. The exhibition has so far been presented in Sarajevo (2023), Zagreb (2024), and at the Palace of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg (2025). She is also a member of the expert team responsible for the concept and first permanent exhibition of the Museum of Islamic Culture and Art Sarajevo. Prof. Dr. Aida Abadžić Hodžić is a member of numerous international professional organizations and forums and has received several prestigious awards for her work in the field of art history, including the University of Sarajevo Award for her long-term contribution to national humanities disciplines.
